It's the end of the Second World War and a concert party breaks up after a triumphant Middle East tour to go back to civvy street. When Terry-Thomas, Len and Bill Lowe meet up again at a reunion party one year later, they discover that none of them has made a success of their lives. They decide to re-form the concert party and conquer the variety theatres. All goes well until Jeannie Carson joins the party and all three men fall for her.
This film is a testament to the bygone days of music hall variety and comedy. It also features Wally Patch, Elton Hayes and introduces to us a hilarious newcomer - Norman Wisdom. It was the first film produced by the Bob Baker/Monty Berman team.
