When Matt Spenser inherits a cinema from his great-uncle he doesn't know what to do with it. It's extremely run down and comes complete
with a compliment of three long-term employees, Percy Quill, Mrs. Fazackalee and Old Tom. He and his wife initially try to sell it to another cinema owner
but he makes a paltry offer, so on the advice of their solicitor they decide to pretend they will make a going concern of the cinema in order
to force the rival to increase his offer.
