Sid James is best remembered for the incurably lascivious persona he honed to such comic effect in the Carry On! Series. However, he appeared in over 80 films before appearing in his first Carry On! Including the hilarious heist jape The Big Job alongside comedy luminaries Jim Dale and Sylvia Sims.

Sidney James plays the part of George The Brain, leader of an inept gang of bank robbers. After hiding the loot from their latest heist the gang get caught and sentenced for 15 years. When the gang are released they attempt to retrieve the money they had stolen, the problem is that they hid it in a hollow tree that is now in the backyard of a police station!
