George Cole stars in this 1950s comedy directed by Vernon sewell that follows the fortunes of a cockney family who inherit a farm
in Devon. Discovering on arrival that the farm is a wreck, Alfie wants to make a go of it however his sisters and workshy brother-in-law
aren't so keen, but, with the help of the farm's housekeeper and a missing will, Alfie keeps his country life.
