Oh Doctor Beeching!
Welcome to Hatley Station, a quiet little holt on a sleepy branch line. Life is good for acting stationmaster Jack Skinner and his staff. But everything is about to change. There's a new, efficient stationmaster on the way and the year is 1963. Doctor Beeching has just recommended the closure of thousands of rural railway stations - and Hatley Station may soon be nothing more than a fond memory. Co-created by David Croft and Richard Spendlove, this hugely popular BBC comedy series stars a wealth of familiar comic faces including Hi-De-Hi's Paul Shane, Su Pollard and Jeffrey Holland and Stephen Lewis, best known as Blakey from On The Buses.
